The Fishermans Wharf Project is a non-profit organization geared toward improving and bettering the lives of the Fisherfolks in the Coastal Belt from Shama to Half-Assini, in the Western Region of Ghana.

I have pondered and meditated on this project for almost thirty years and trying to make sense of what will benefit and improve the lives of the fishermen and fishmongers as well in this catchment area.

I have always waited for a better project and concept that will help these fishermen, but I think now is the time.

Mission Statement

The Fishermans Wharf of Ghana, LBG is established as a pilot project to give a facelift and enhancement to the fishing industry in Ghana particularly to the fisher-folks in the Shama District, where fishing and fish mongering are the main sustenance of the inhabitants. I have had the desire to help our fishermen and the fish mongers to have better equipment, education in fishing, skills and day to day opportunities to improve their socio-economic lives in the community in which they live. To harness resources to support the wide network of people, partners, to foster opportunities for every person in our community to live free from poverty and injustice.

Creative Idea

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
